In part 1 of a 2 part episode, Dane and Wags do a quick recap of the Jets game, then dive into a discussion on the primary coaching candidates, starting with the names that have come out as having been interviewed thus far, an in depth analysis of the player support of and overall chances for Joe Philbin, as well as some of the college head coaches that have had their names surfaced.
No miracle run for the Packers in 2018 as the season effectively ended this past week in Chicago. The guys are a bit down but have some thoughts on the game, what to look forward to for the rest of the season now that they are out of the playoffs, and what to be optimistic about big picture.
The Packers are a week removed from firing their coach, have a losing record, and have almost no shot at making the playoffs...but Dane and Wags still can't contain their enthusiasm after a vintage Packers performance. The guys break down the keys to the win and what changed. Later, they throw shade on hated rivals, the Bears and Vikings, and Dane makes a bold prediction.
Dane and Wags have nothing to say about the Packers loss to the Cardinals, but the news of McCarthy's dismissal gives them plenty of fodder on an otherwise dreary day.
