Packers - Cardinals Recap, Looking at Potential Trade Targets Ahead of the Deadline

The Packers improve to 7-1 after a 24-21 win over the previously unbeaten Cardinals in Arizona on Thursday Night.  After some overall thoughts about the win, we jump into the game breakdown, starting with the offensive side of the ball, starting with the bounce effort from the offensive line, which allowed the coaching staff to stick to their game plan of running the football and controlling time of possession (00:02:25).  On the flip side, the defensive line, led by Kenny Clark and Dean Lowry, as well as contributions in the pass rush from outside linebackers Rashan Gary, Preston Smith, and newcomer Whitney Mercilus were key factors in keeping the Arizona offense at bay (00:10:05).  We finish up the game recap with our #BeLegendary Big Cheese players of the week (00:20:10).  After the break, we chat about some potential trade targets the Packers could potentially go after prior to the Tuesday deadline (00:28:47).

Packers - Cardinals: Week 8 Preview

The Packers are headed to Arizona to take on the 7-0 Cardinals in a short week on Thursday night in week 8, and we start by sharing our overall feelings heading into the game, before diving right into the offensive matchups and the impact of being without Davonte Adams and Allan Lazard (00:02:55).  We also discuss the heightened importance of getting the run game going and controlling time of possession in an effort to keep Arizona’s offense off the field, and whether the offensive line can bounce back from a poor effort last week against Washington.  After the break, we move over to the Packers defensive matchups against the Arizona offense (00:34:32), and again have a discussion on the impact being without Defensive Coordinator Joe Barry may have on the game.  We also discuss what they need to do to get some stops against Kyler Murray and the potent offensive attack of the Cardinals, whether success in the redzone last week can compound with more success in this game, and more.  Lastly, we finish with our nominations for our #BeLegendary X – Factors (00:53:36) and score predictions for the game.

Packers Hold Off Washington Football Team, Improve to 6-1

The Packers improve to 6-1 after a 24-10 win over the Washington Football Team at Lambeau Field.  After some overall thoughts about the win, we jump into the game breakdown, starting with the offensive side of the ball, starting with the struggles of the offensive line, particularly in the running game (00:05:15).  On the flip side, Aaron Rodgers was very effective passing despite a few sacks, and was able to get a number of guys involved outside of Davonte Adams, particularly Robert Tonyan and Allen Lazard (00:08:28).  After the break, we get into the defensive performances, starting with the impact of Rashan Gary having a monster game, particularly in the second half (00:18:25).  Next we look at some of the inconsistencies at inside linebacker opposite De’Vondre Campbell, as well as the overall solid play of the secondary despite being shorthanded at CB (00:24:50).  Before finishing up, we chat about some positives from Special Teams (00:34:04), as well as our nominations for our #BeLegendary Cheesehead Players of the Week (00:38:27).

Packers ‘Still Own‘ Bears, Win in Chicago - Week Six Recap

The Packers improve to 5-1 after a 24-14 win over the Bears in Chicago.  After some overall thoughts about the win, we jump into the game breakdown, starting with the offensive side of the ball and the strong performances from Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon (00:03:00).  Next we highlight how the offensive line performed after the return of Elgton Jenkins, and brief return of Josh Meyers, who went down with a knee injury in the first series (00:06:05).  We wrap up the offensive side of the ball highlighting Allen Lazard getting involved for the first time this year, and briefly assessing Aaron Rodgers’ solid performance despite missing on a couple of deep throws (00:14:20).  After the break, we get into the defensive performances, and again start our discussion with the impact of Kenny Clark leading strong play of the defensive line (00:21:20).  Next we talk about the ‘next man up’ outside linebacker and defensive back groups holding up despite being without several starters, and then losing Darnell Savage early in the second half and Preston Smith after less than ten snaps (00:29:03).  We finish with our nominations for our #BeLegendary Cheesehead Players of the Week (00:39:20).
